DJ Magazine

We've had a namecheck in the latest issue of DJ Mag. The article is all about the thriving disco scene in London Town, focusing on the Tropicana night ran by our dear friends Danny 'The Menace' Clarke and Neil 'Ravemaster General' Thornton. Fact fans will know the night from the weekly Sunday sessions held at the (then newly re-vamped) Horse & Groom last year, where we held a little residency. This year they have been concentrating on their 'Escape From New York' roof parties at The Queen Of Hoxton just down the road, and have showcased some great international talent including DFA darlings Holy Ghost and Chinatown's Brennan Green.

We couldn't do a post about DJ Mag without some gratuitous shots of flesh. In the name of decency, and so as not not detract from the gravely serious issue of disco diatribe, we won't upload any shots to the blog- but for those who are interested click >here< for the chance of seeing The Cosmic Truth in their speedos. Maybe.

PARTY DETAILS

The venue for the party this weekend will be the top floor of 70 Hoxton Street, London N1 6LP.

It's a really nice intimate loft space, but make sure you arrive nice and early to ensure you get in before we reach capacity. It kicks off at 9pm so you have plenty of time.

It's another free party, but you'll need the password - just say THRODDY at the door, and head striaght up to stairs.

See you on Saturday!

Thanks to the Handsome boys for the invite to play on Friday. Additional thanks going to Nicole & Sasha Funke for sorting Watergate, and Will Saul for the Panorama Bar hook up. Quality music all weekend long. Last but OF COURSE by no means least, it was amaze to see our homegrrrl Tamara Moustache Mamas on her new turf.

Oh and farewell Bar 25. Trusseeeee.

Look out, look out... Time for our next party.

This time we roll up at a very nice little loft space, somewhere in East London with, with our friend Mike Keelin on warm up duties, and a very special guest on hand too...

What's that you're doing?

It's been a little while, but here's the latest instalment of our mix tape series. Taking in all corners from 80s electro p-funk, crazy synth tracks, new beat, a strong dose of disco - and was that a bit of techno you heard in there? - this time, it's all about the club!

The Cosmic Truth 'What's That You're Doing?'
mix - June 2009.

If you like this, then come and catch us play this weekend at the Handsome Party, Loreley Club, Berlin on Friday 12th, or next week back in London at our next Who’s Afraid of the Cosmic Truth party on June 20th. Full details to be announced...

The rain is pouring down, the sky is crying

Saturday afternoon... The perfect time for an outdoor party. Come listen to us, ToTheBone, and Joe Body Hammer play old chicago house records, crackly disco, and the odd west african folk song (Charlie) in a pub beer garden.

ToTheBone Radio turns 2, and Dave and Charlie's birthday.
The Eagle, Eagle Wharf Road, London
2ish - 10ish.

Maybe bring an anorak...
